Kirk Sorensen Videos 1-Train ride from Geneva 2- LFTR Strategy for FLIBE Energy

These were shot by Gordon McDowell and his team at the ThEC13 (Thorium Energy Conference 2013) in Cern, Geneva.
The first video of Kirk is just two days after the conference began. It gives some insights into what themes are prevalent at the conference and some of Kirk’s reactions to talks by other speakers.

This is the main Geneva Talk by Kirk for FLIBE Energy “LFTR Development Strategy”

Fascinating stuff! I hope this can be approved by the NRC. Will it be, “Good Enough For Government Work.”

The LFTR is graphite moderated. Chernobyl was graphite moderated. Chernobyl burned like a coal plant. The LFTR will run very hot. Will the graphite burn? Perhaps a Carbon Dioxide inerting system will be needed. Since it is nuclear you’ll need 2 of them, an A train and a B train in case one doesn’t work. You’ll also need to test it once a month or so.

N Reactor at Hanford was graphite moderated. They shut it down after Chernobyl.

Kirk Sorensen is a great presenter, a great salesman. This is very much needed today because selling nukes to a US audience will be worse than selling icecubes in the Arctic.
